Pride Flags & Symbols Do NOT Belong in Public Schools--Here are the Steps for Getting Them Removed

Fueled by radical teachers' unions, an increasing number of educators are displaying pride flags and symbols in public school classrooms--reflecting a seismic shift away from education and toward the sexualization and ideological indoctrination of students.

This is not about protecting LGBTQ students or creating an inclusive environment. It is about exposing children to inappropriate sexual and ideological messaging.

Parents must rise up and demand that pride flags and symbols be removed from public schools. School boards should adopt clear policies prohibiting them, and administrators must enforce those policies consistently, including taking disciplinary action against staff who refuse to comply.

Public School Classrooms Should Be Neutral Environments

Everyone's tax dollars support public schools, so districts should focus on what unites the community: quality education, school spirit, extra curriculars, and social events.

School buildings and classrooms should remain NEUTRAL.

If teachers want to create a distinct atmosphere in their classrooms, it should support the curriculum. An English teacher might post the steps of the writing process or classic literature covers. A science teacher might adorn walls with the periodic table or the scientific method. Math teachers might hang math-related memes, while history teachers might display posters highlighting the eras students will study.

Pride flags and symbols create divisive environments.

When teachers display pride flags to identify themselves as LGBTQ allies, students who hold different moral or religious convictions may perceive the classroom as ideologically biased or feel concerned that their views will not be respected.

Consider the reaction if teachers displayed Christian or Jewish symbols, “Back the Blue” flags, or MAGA signage. Yet some argue that Black Lives Matter and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion messaging should be promoted in classrooms, while objecting when other viewpoints are expressed.

A neutral classroom environment is more welcoming to everyone. Equal treatment means applying the same standard to all viewpoints—not granting special treatment to one.

Pride Flags and Symbols Do Not Belong in Public School Classrooms & Is an Attack on the Family

The opposition from radicalized national teachers' unions against Ed Choice is unfounded. If you had two pizza parlors in town--one serving delicious pizza and the other serving pizza that was inedible--which one would you patronize?

When public schools become centers of ideological indoctrination, taxpayers should have the option to withdraw their children and enroll them in educational environments that align with their values. Parents should not be forced to pay for an education that fundamentally conflicts with their beliefs.

If public schools do not want to lose funding, they need to improve the quality and focus of their education.

Parents are frustrated by revisionist portrayals of American history that teaches students to hate America. They are tired of boys in girls' locker rooms and stealing their sports trophies and scholarships. They are weary of the need to filter and flag reading materials from the school library, Google Classroom, and school book fairs that promote the LGBTQ agenda. They are on guard against drag queen story hour showing up in their districts and dolls with removable genitalia landing on toy shelves in kindergarten and preschool classrooms. All of these things undermine parental authority and are inappropriate for children.

Families decide what morals and values to teach their children, not the public school system. When districts insist on raising pride flags and symbols within their walls, they are recruiting activists. School questionnaires asking for preferred pronouns are grossly out of line, and chastising students who are led by their conscience for "misgendering" someone is lunacy.

Schools are attempting to desensitize youth to the morals and values instilled to them by their parents while coercing the student body into affirming a lifestyle that is anti-thetical to their faith or belief systems.

Schools should focus on core academic subjects aligned with state standards rather than promoting political or cultural ideologies. Period.

Pride Flags and Symbols Fixate on the Sexualization of Minors

While radicalized teachers and administrators insist that pride flags and symbols are meant to make the LGBTQ student population feel welcome and included, they refuse to acknowledge that these emblems automatically alienate everyone else.

The pride flag is far more than a symbol of "inclusion." This banner is an umbrella for a spectrum of perversions:

  • Genital mutilation of minors

  • Transitioning kids without parental consent

  • Compelled speech that forces students to use pretend pronouns that violate reality and their religious beliefs

  • Men hurting women in sports and robbing them of trophies and scholarships

  • Sexual assault by males in female spaces

  • Nude public displays in pride parades

  • Sexualized reading materials in school libraries and book fairs

  • Drag queen story hour in kindergarten

  • Dolls in preschool and kindergarten classrooms with removable genitalia

LGBTQ activism in public schools is nothing less than abuse, exploitation, and grooming of minors. The pride flag is a constant reminder of someone's sexual preferences.

None of this is related to educational outcomes.

The Excuses LGBTQ Advocates Use for Justifying Pride Flags in Classrooms Have No Substance

Advocates claim that displaying pride flags in classrooms help LGBTQ students feel welcome, safe, and seen--emotional arguments with no basis.

By law, all students are entitled to a public education. No one is excluded. The very nature of public schooling is designed to prepare the future citizenry for a productive life in American society. LGBTQ students are already on equal footing with their fellow classmates, yet they demand special treatment and recognition.

School policies are implemented to ensure the safety of all students. Districts share handbooks outlining expectations, and administrators see that the rules are enforced. Many districts have enhanced security measures in place that includes a law enforcement presence on site. School counselors are available to support students who may struggle mentally or socially.

LGBTQ students are certainly seen. Step into a high school building and you can spot them immediately. They are motley crews who and dress and act in ways that make them stand out rather than blend in with the rest of the student body. They are attention seekers who intentionally behave like rebellious misfits and then wonder why they aren't accepted. It's mental illness on full display.

LGBTQ students do not need pride flags and symbols in classrooms to feel welcome, safe, and seen any more than Christians need crosses and the 10 Commandments to feel secure.

Schools have one job: provide an education in core subjects that creates a path toward graduation for each student. Yet, schools position themselves to be social justice warriors, ideologues, and mental health advocates--none of which are related to their sole purpose.

What Can Parents Do to Get Pride Flags Removed from Public Classrooms?

Parents feel powerless. National teachers' unions are little more than political machines that are urging schools to prioritize activism over education. When parents speak out against pride flags in their schools, they are ignored--or worse.

Here are the steps for defending your kids against the sexualization of minors in public schools:

  1.  COMMUNICATE EXPECTATIONS TO YOUR CHILDREN

If you've not visited your child's school to see if pride flags and symbols are popping up in your district, ask your kids. They may not think to mention it without you prodding them, and that is the danger. The moment they see such propaganda, they should balk and feel a sense of "ick." If they don't, the indoctrination is working.

While parents should expect their children to treat all people with kindness and dignity, they are not required to affirm belief systems that do not align with your family's morals and values (or biological reality!). Put your kids on alert. Instruct them to notify you of any pride flags or symbols that they find in their school. If possible, ask them to take a picture with their cell phone or Chrombook to provide you with evidence.

While pride flags appear in the entryways, classrooms, and hallways, the school library is often a hot spot for pride messaging.

  1.  CONTACT THE BUILDING PRINCIPAL

Schools push boundaries to see if parents will notice, and some will back down when confronted.

The moment you discover pride flags and symbols in your child's school, reach out to the principal via email to create a record of your complaint. Cite your reasons for demanding the removal of the propaganda and offer to meet with the principal or schedule a phone conversation. Most principals will respond to your complaint.

Some principals will capitulate to your demand immediately. Others will fret over alienating the staff and ask for your patience as they engage in "conversations" with their teachers about creating neutral classroom environments. In hardcore liberal districts, principals feel virtuous on their DEI practices and will refuse to budge.

Don't be intimidated and never back down. Teachers and administrators are being paid with YOUR tax dollars and are accountable to YOU--not the other way around.

  1.  CONTACT THE SUPERINTENDENT

If the building principal will not cooperate or drags their feet and the pride flags and symbols remain, the next step is contacting the district superintendent.

Outline your argument with the superintendent the same way you did for the building principal. If you're lucky, the superintendent may be on your side but had been waiting for an official "complaint" to give them license to enact policies they had wanted to do all along but feared instigating. Email correspondence may be sufficient in accomplishing your goal. If not, request a phone conversation or an in-person meeting.

School superintendents care a lot about public relations because they rely on community support to pass levies. They also fear a mass exodus of disgruntled families who decide to utilize Ed Choice vouchers to escape, which can adversely affect school funding.

If, however, the superintendent will not cooperate, your next step is addressing the school board.

  1. ADDRESS THE SCHOOL BOARD

Parental empowerment is something school boards fear. It's why, during the Biden regime, the National School Boards Association requested an investigation to see if some parents could be considered domestic terrorists for daring to stand up against mask mandates, revisionist history, and gender ideology.

Most school boards meet at least one time per month and allow a portion of the time for a "hearing of the public." Generally, parents are allowed five minutes or less to express concerns to the board, though the board usually refrains from responding.

Public speaking isn't something most parents are enthused about doing, but it is necessary. If you're worried about your brain short-circuiting during your plea to the board, write down your thoughts and read them from the podium. Your goal is to pressure the school board into writing a policy that prohibits pride flags and symbols or other polarizing propaganda on school property in order to maintain neutrality and stay focused on education.

Remind the school board to review the social media profiles of teaching applicants to filter out activists from educators in advance.

Aleena Sohail is an activist teacher who should be fired.
I'll bet #AleenaSohail's politics shined through during her teaching interview. She should never have been hired but should have definitely been fired the moment her videos were discovered on social media.

Kettering, OH school teacher Kelsey Gibbs is an activist who should be fired.
#KelseyGibbs is a Dayton, OH, teacher whose X profile alone should have automatically disqualified her from employment.

School boards typically have a work session once per month, so allow them a couple months to draft your requested policy. Most likely, you won't be notified if a new policy is added to the district handbook, and if you reach out to the board members via email, it's rare for them to respond. The district superintendent is their surrogate, so after a grace period, contact the superintendent to ascertain whether or not the board has officially banned pride flags and symbols from school property.

If there is no change, the next step is to contact your state senators and representatives.

  1. CONTACT YOUR STATE SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES

If you live in a deep blue state and the senators and representatives for your locality are Democrats, it is highly unlikely they will take your side in this fight. While it shouldn't stop you from calling or emailing their offices and expecting them to respond to their constituents, don't expect a miracle.

On the other hand, if your local senators and representatives are Republicans, try to rally them to your cause. Email their office about your situation, give them two or three weeks to read it, and then make a follow-up call to their office. Ideally, you want them to intervene by contacting the school superintendent and using their influence to bring about the changes you've requested. At the very least, they should offer to draft legislation or guidelines at the state level that would ban pride flags and symbols from public schools or risk losing state funding for lack of compliance.

Your state also has an Education Committee. If your local senators and representatives fail to help you, reach out to the chair and vice-chair of the Education Committee to petition them to enact a bill to accomplish your purpose.

If your state legislators offer no assistance, the next step is to advance to the federal level.

  1.  CONTACT YOUR FEDERAL SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES

This step follows the same process as step five, but instead of contacting your state's congressional leaders, you're reaching out to your senators and representatives at the federal level.

It's important for your federal leaders to hear from constituents, so don't miss this step. Just keep in mind that Congress is bogged down with other weighty matters, and your odds of finding a resolution here are not promising.

At this point, you have no choice but to engage influencers, news medias, and organizations with large networks that fight against this type of thing on a regular basis.

  1. START A GRASSROOTS EFFORT & EXPOSE ONLINE

You've been fair, firm, and consistent in your efforts to usher in the return of sanity to your school district. If you've exhausted all avenues in your fight to end the sexualization of minors through the LGBTQ activism of your school district, your last resort is to blow the issue up on social media with the help of influencers, news medias, and established organizations that are accustomed and prepared to fight against the attacks on families from child predators in the school system.

Libs of Tik Tok is great resource that boasts an enormous social media following. This influencer shares images that parents submit of pride propaganda in schools to publicly shame districts. School funding is top priority for many districts, so the negative publicity can create significant damage.

Libs of Tik Tok helps spread awareness, and many of their posts go viral. Parents who are busy juggling jobs, home life, and extra curriculars aren't always cognizant of the left-wing takeover of their children's school. Regardless of political affiliation, most parents agree on one thing--the sexualization of children should not be happening in public schools.

When you see pride flags and symbols in your local schools and school officials refuse to remove them, take pictures and send them to Libs of Tik Tok.

Defending Education is an even better resource for fighting your local ideologues.

This national grassroots organization works to restore schools at all levels from activists imposing harmful agendas. Through network and coalition building, investigative reporting, litigation, and engagement, Defending Education fights indoctrination in classrooms to promote the reestablishment of a quality, non-political education for all students.

Defending Education is a great resource to help parents who are fighting against pride flags in schools

Defending Education offers a treasure trove of resources to arm parents for battle and expose schools that are not fulfilling their main purpose; however, the organization relies on YOU to do all the heavy lifting--the process requires grit and is not for the faint of heart.

The easiest and quickest way to bring about change is to explode the topic on social media yourself. School districts do not want public opinion to be against them. Create a parent group on multiple social media platforms, invite all the parents you know, share what the schools are doing that should alarm parents, urge them to contact the school board and superintendent, ask them to show up and speak at school board meetings, and advise them to vote AGAINST every school levy until the district bends to the will of its constituents.

News travels fast around town, so creating a firestorm on social media can be very effective. It also comes with risks. Parents who have used social media as a catalyst for positive change are sometimes harrassed and threatened by the local lunatics who support perversion in public schools. Use the "block" button frequently and buy a doorbell camera. Don't be afraid. YOU are the one who is right, and if you won't defend your family against the tyrannical minority, who will?

The vast majority of news organizations are corrupt. They have been reduced to the propaganda arm of the Left. If you're fortunate enough to have a fair and balance outlet in your area, involve them in your story. Maybe it's the local newspaper, radio station, or podcaster, or maybe your battle might catch the attention of renowned, conservative pundits who are willing to cover your story on national news.

Network with your community, and get pride flags out of your school district!

Schools Endorsing Pride Flags and Symbols Can't Be Trusted with Your Children

Maybe you've not stepped into your child's school recently. Enhanced safety protocols are in place in most districts, which inhibits parents from accessing buildings outside of special events. Rogue, activist teachers are capitalizing on the parent disconnect to steep your kids in political and social ideologies that fixate their attention on sexuality. They are sick individuals who can't be trusted with your children.

Never forget that during COVID, schools quickly managed to shut down, impose mask mandates, encourage vaccination, and force protocols that caused drastic, long-term harm to your student learners. Since they are capable of such a rapid response, they can get pride flags and symbols removed from school properties overnight. At the directive of school administration, employees must comply or be fired. It's that simple. Oftentimes, school dress codes forbid sexually explicit or offensive messaging on apparel, and these standards should apply to pride flags.

While parents can opt to homeschool, take advantage of Ed Choice, enroll their high schoolers in college credit programs, or move out of district to avoid woke indoctrination, they shouldn't have to. A fair solution is for districts to insist on neutrality within their walls.

Parents wield the authority over their children when it comes to issues of morality--not the public schools. Don't be afraid to speak out against pride flags, no matter what the cost. Your kids are in school to learn, not be victims of predators who shift attention to sexuality and ignore the three R's. Pride flags and symbols do not belong in public schools.
